2020 Mazda CX-9: Prices and Specifications

Faced with the merciless war between mid-size SUVs, the Japanese giant had no choice but to make its 2020 CX-9, for sale at the starting price of $39,900, even more attractive. So, Mazda adds to the GS-L and GT models of its 7-passenger SUV the option of heated 2nd-row captain's chairs for $300, and the GT and Signature models come standard with the hands-free power rear liftgate.
In addition, when you use Super gas (93 octane rating), the torque generated by the 250-hp, Skyactiv-G 2.5L 4-cylinder Turbo engine increases from 310 to 320 lb-ft. The predictive i-Activ all-wheel drive system will also be standard on all 4 versions of the CX-9, namely the GS, GS-L, GT and Signature, not to mention the full range of Mazda's i-Activesense safety technologies on top of G-Vectoring Control Plus.
To celebrate the company's 100th Anniversary, Mazda is offering a 100th Anniversary Edition CX-9, which will feature unique details to pay homage to Mazda's first passenger car, the R360 Coupe. These details include Garnet red leather-trimmed upholstery, a Snowflake white pearl exterior as well as matching red flor carpets and mats, headrests, key fob, hubcaps and a commemorative badge on the front fender, all embossed with the 100th Anniversary logo.
With the GS variant, you will get 18-inch wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heated front seats and 3-zone automatic climate control, among others.
The GS-L trim level adds 20-inch wheels, a power glass sunroof, leather upholstery, heated 2nd-row seats, heated steering wheel, a 9-inch touchscreen display and front wiper de-icer.
The GT model comes with ventilated front seats, power folding door mirrors and a premium 12-speaker Bose audio system. Nappa leather upholstery, Santos Rosewood-trimmed centre console and door switch panels as well as premium cross-stitching detail on the steering wheel are available in the Signature model.
