2021 Mazda MX-30 coming soon to Spinelli Mazda
November 13 2020,
“Finally,” many will say, the Mazda MX-30, Mazda's first electric vehicle, will soon be arriving at dealerships in Quebec and Canada. Unveiled at the most recent Tokyo Motor Show, the 2021 MX-30 is the first electric vehicle ever marketed by Mazda.
According to available information, the 2021 Mazda MX-30—the price of which has not yet been announced yet—is expected to be equipped with a 35.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, which will provide about 200 km of driving range. Its electric motor, located in front, will generate 143 horsepower and 194 lb-ft of torque. According to test drive journalists, the Mazda MX-30 offers a dynamic driving experience that will satisfy driving enthusiasts, while not skimping on the comfort of the driver and occupants.
The MX-30's stylish design
On the outside, the MX-30's body—with dimensions similar to those of the CX-30 crossover—sports sleek and sophisticated contours. Suicide doors open to the front and rear at respective angles of 82 degrees and 80 degrees, to provide easy access and an eye-catching view of the interior.
The interior features exceptional eco-friendly details, such as the front and rear seats surfaced in fabric made from recycled plastic bottles. Natural cork surfaces (wrapped in a protective layer) are present, enhancing the elegance and sense of comfort. The instrument panel has two screens (one colour, the other tactile) and a rotary selector (a nod to the engine).
The MX-30 SUV expected in Canada in 2021
The Mazda MX-30 electric vehicle will first be marketed in Europe. In fact, it wasn't until early October 2020 that Mazda confirmed the release of the Mazda MX-30 in Canada. Although the all-wheel drive system is not part of the plans at this time, Mazda recognizes the importance of such a system for Quebec and Canada, which suggests the possibility of such a system for Quebec residents. Nevertheless, the arrival of Mazda's very first electric vehicle is an important event. In conclusion, as with any electric vehicle, the Mazda MX-30 is eligible for government subsidies for green vehicles.
Residents of Montreal, Laval, the South Shore and across the province will be happy to know that the 2021 Mazda MX-30—as well as all new Mazda models—are offered with an unlimited mileage warranty. The release date for the 2021 Mazda MX-30 will be announced shortly.
